The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is perfect if you want your music on the move. It’s an S60 smartphone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a huge specification. Nokia have included the Say and Play feature, this means you only have to speak the name of the artist or the track and it will play automatically. It has a 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, stereo Bluetooth and dedicated music keys. There’s an 8GB memory card included, enough to store around 6,000 songs, and this can be upgraded to 16GB if you need more.

The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic Red Mobile Videos are sorted alphabetically and again. Be prepared to scroll to find the video you want. In terms of file support it supports your standard assortment of files including: MPEG4, WMA and Real files just to name a few. All video playbacks are played on a standard RealPlayer.

Overall, in the media department the handset performs quite well. The only nagging problem being that the standard headphones are not the greatest. We can guarantee that if you are a music buff you will most likely be replacing them with a decent pair.

Conclusion The handset provides a very appealing 4.5 hours of talk time and 270 to 300 hours of standby time, 26 hours of music and 180 minutes of video playback. In our trials, we found that with moderate use you could pull off about 3 days without needing to charge.

The 2.4 inch display does a brilliant job at producing vivid and bright images; even in direct sunlight we experienced no problems reading the display. Overall the display is really great and we believe this is one of the benefits of this phone. The keys are beautifully spaced, giving you plenty of room to type employing both hands. You won’t have any problem with your fingers bumping into each other with this keyboard.
